Six seasons and a movie. It’s something many Star Wars fans would be more than satisfied with, and it’s also a ‘promise’ made in an episode of Community that may just come to pass as star Donald Glover reveals that the script for that long-awaited big screen Community story has been completed. Speaking at the premiere of his latest show Mrs & Mrs Smith, he spoke about the current status of the script for a show that has arguably been more popular on streamers since it finished airing than it was when it was first shown.
“I was told that the script — literally, I was texting today — I was told that the script was done. It’s really just a schedule thing, I’m in, I’m all in.”
Hopefully that ‘scheduling thing’ is the Lando movie, which his brother Stephen Glover is writing, but either way it’s great news that finally we get to see Troy and Abed reunite, learn what happened to Annie, Jeff, Britta, Shirley, Ben and Dean Pelton and wonder if there’s anything in the universe that could tempt Chevy Chase back for a cameo.
