Imagine, driving through Jack in the Box in LA in the early 70’s and encountering a young Mark Hamill who regarles you with his clown impression as you give your order. Thankfully, his manager was a critic, and his firing led all the way to the sofa of The Late Late Show With James Corden who spoke with Mark and Bradley Whitford last night.

When James welcomes his guests Mark Hamill and Bradley Whitford, and Bradley surprises Mark when he says they’ve actually met before — nearly 40 years ago when Bradley waited on Mark at a New York City restaurant, and confirms Mark left a great tip. And Mark tells James how he was once fired from a fast food restaurant for going into character.

Watch The Late Late Show with James Corden weeknights at 12:35 AM ET/11:35 PM CT. Only on CBS.
