Congratulations are due to Star Wars Resistance, nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Children’s Program. The show runs against A Series Of Unfortunate Events, Carmen Sandiego, Song Of Parkland and When You Wish Upon A Pickle: A Sesame Street Special. The GFFA has good form in this category as Rebels was nominated in 2017 and 2018.

Outside of Resistance there are a number of Star Wars alumni nominated for Emmys this year including Phoebe Waller-Bridge who is double nominated as Actress in a Comedy and Writing for Fleabag and Drama Writing for Killing Eve. Both shows are quite rightly up for Outstanding Series. Qi’ra herself Emilia Clarke  is nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama for Game of Thrones, Gwendoline Christie (who nominated herself believe it or not, for Supporting Actress in a Drama, also for Game of Thrones) and Benicio Del Toro  as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for Escape At Dannemora.

Best of luck to all involved. The Emmys are handed out on 22nd September 2019.
