D23 2024 is running at full speed and last night saw the Disney Studio Showcase reveal new projects for Disney, Pixar, Marvel and of course Star Wars. With Skeleton Crew launching with two episodes in just a few short months (116 days to be precise) Lucasfilm unveiled the official trailer for the series, giving us a closer look at Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) and Jod Na Nawood, played by Jude Law.

During the Disney Studio Showcase, Skeleton Crew star Jude Law — who plays the enigmatic Jod Na Nawood — introduced the world’s first look at footage from the forthcoming series, created by Spider-Man Homecoming director Jon Watts and writer Christopher Ford. Following the adventures of four kids — Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel — the trailer gives us a glimpse at a mysterious discovery and the journey ahead as the foursome are hurtled into a strange and dangerous galaxy.

They’re lost. Really lost. And we can’t wait to see what comes next when the series premieres on Disney+ December 3.

Don’t forget, the directors of the Spider-Man trilogy, Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, Marvels 2025 blockbuster Thunderbolts and Bryce Dallas Howard have been involved in this series, and with the pedigree of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni behind it, this looks set to be a belter.

We also get a look at the key art for the series.

We’ll be discussing this and all the GFFA reveals from D23 on the next episode of Making Tracks, but until then grab your blaster and kick the mud off your hiking boots – we’re about to go r’Amblin through the Star Wars galaxy.
