There are worse problems in the world than having John Williams classic Raiders March accompany you through life, but that’s the fate of Harrison Ford as he accepts the fact he can’t avoid that theme while admiring the work of the Maestro.

Over 40 years since the release of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Harrison Ford still fondly remembers the first time he heard Indy’s theme, ‘Raiders March’, composed by John Williams. And how since then, it has cropped up in some surprising places…

‘Dial of Destiny’ director James Mangold talks about Williams’ legacy as a champion for orchestral and classical music, in the world of cinema.

Footage: ‘Raiders March’ played by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kirill Karabits at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall, filmed in October 2022 for Sky Arts.
