Our great pals over at the ever-awesome The Bearded Trio bring us news of a  campaign to fund a documentary looking at the life and career of one of the pillars of what made Star Wars – and continues to make Star Wars – great: John Towner Williams.

“He Shoots, He Scores” is a documentary that tells an inspirational story of an ordinary young boy who embarks on a journey to realize an impossible childhood dream: to meet his hero, 5-time Oscar-winning composer John Williams. “Just like how John Williams’ uplifting music has brought to life so many iconic blockbuster movies of our time,” composer and musician Michael Miller states, “I believe Jonah Bryson is about to bring to life a beautifully illuminating movie about John Williams that will inspire generations to come.”

The documentary features the stars and crew behind blockbusters such as Jaws screenwriter Carl Gottlieb, Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch of Star Wars, and interviews with musical colleagues of John Williams himself.

So many people remember the first time they saw Star Wars or heard the first few notes from Jaws. A film about John Williams and his music is sure to be a blockbuster.

The second campaign goes live today. For more information and to show the documentary your support, click here. The campaign won’t be here long, so make sure to check it out before it’s gone!
