Congratulations to Canadian player James Rimas, who was crowned the 2026 Galactic Champion after 13 hard-fought rounds of Star Wars Unlimited at the 2026 Star Wars: Unlimited Galactic Championship. Huge congratulations James, and expect to see him defend his title at the 2027 games as the event moves from Las Vegas to Anaheim and the Disneyland Resort Hotel.
From July 24–26, more than 3300 Star Wars™: Unlimited players, fans, creators, and collectors from around the world converged in Las Vegas for Fantasy Flight Game’s annual Galactic Championship, the game’s largest event and the culmination of a full year of organized play. Top players competed for the title of Galactic Champion, while attendees took part in side events, panels, artist experiences, trading and collecting activities, creator meetups, and more throughout the weekend.
Following 13 rounds of competition, James Rimas of Canada was crowned the 2026 Galactic Champion after defeating Cody Hill [of the United States] in a hard-fought final match using a Cad Bane, Still Faster than You with Nevarro City, Restored.

THE FUTURE OF STAR WARS™: UNLIMITED
During the weekend, Fantasy Flight Games presented the latest Galactic Report, offering players and fans a look at the future roadmap for Star Wars™: Unlimited. Headlining the presentation was Homeworlds, the game’s ninth set, launching in October 2026 with more than 260 new cards. The expansion will introduce Spotlight Decks featuring Chewbacca and Grand Moff Tarkin, new Beast and Weakness tokens, and the Fortify keyword, which will allow players to play upgrades on their bases for the first time. Grand Moff Tarkin will also become the game’s first leader capable of deploying as the Death Star.

Fantasy Flight Games also announced that the Galactic Championship will move to the Disneyland Resort Hotel in May 2027, offering players and fans a more immersive, Star Wars-centric experience. Additional details, including dates, programming, registration, and ticketing information, will be announced at a later date.
