EVENT : Leeds Unleashed – Leed’s Family Comic-Con!
On Sunday 20th October 2019 Unleashed Events will host a geeky family-friendly fun day that you won’t want to miss!
We are pleased to welcome Aidan Cook, Russell Balogh and Karen Clegg as our special guests at Leeds Unleashed. Aidan is a creature performer and puppeteer, well known for his work in Star Wars movies especially for his portrayal of Benthic Two Tubes, and as the performer behind Blue the much loved Velociraptor in Jurassic World ‘Fallen Kingdom’. Both Aidan and Karen Clegg have appeared in Doctor Who with Karen playing the role of Sarn in the episode which featured Sylvester McCoy for the first time. Karen does not attend many comic cons so it is a great opportunity to obtain a rare autograph and meet someone who was there as the Doctor regenerates! Alongside Aidan and Karen we have Russell Balogh who is an actor, qualified stunt performer and member of the British Stunt Register. Russell, like Aidan, is well known for his role in Star Wars playing Major Ralo Surrel (Red Eleven) in Rogue One, however, recently he has appeared in Fox TV ‘Deep State’ and as ‘Lundt’, a German spy in the feature film remake of the cult TV series ‘Dad’s Army’. As a stuntman Russell has worked on major movie titles such as Overlord, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Justice League where he actually doubled for Ben Affleck as Batman during the additional photography shoot. Come along and meet all three guests and hear what they have to say about their experiences of the movie and TV world.
You never know what you will discover at a comic con but, under the shadow of Daisy our 12ft friendly dinosaur, you can always dig up a fossil or two in the Jurassic Park area of the event……just don’t put your hand in the Raptor box! Grab your box of popcorn and jump on the cinema seats to grab yourself a photo with those mischievous Gremlins!
