Once upon a time, there were mysterious creatures on our planet – dinosaurs. But after thousands of years of existence, there was a particular event because all these creatures became extinct. And now, people interested in the ancient lizards can only look at the museums of miraculously preserved bones, watch movies, and play games based on them.
It turned out that online Teen Patti for real money games released a decent amount over the past two decades, and not always it was qualitative projects. As a result, there are not so many worthwhile games with dinosaurs, all of which are presented in our rating.
Some of the best games include:
- Turok;
- Yoshi’s New Island;
- Jurassic Park: The Game.
Turok
Opening the list is a remake of the popular shooter from the ’90s, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. The game was initially released on Nintendo consoles in 1997, but its sudden popularity prompted the developers to release the shooter on personal computers. The first and the second parts of the series were about Turok the Indian, who was engaged in the extermination of a variety of dinosaurs and, at the same time, tried to prevent the plans of villains to take control of time and space. But in this remake, released 11 years after the original, the character’s backstory has been changed.
The Turk is now a space paratrooper cutthroat, part of a squad sent to an unknown planet to eliminate a dangerous character. And it turned out to be not so easy to do because, in addition to armed people, there are many more adapted to survive in extreme conditions lizards snooping around the jungle.
Yoshi’s New Island
The new dinosaur story offers the same challenge as the original Yoshi’s Island, a spin-off of Nintendo’s mustachioed plumber series. Kamek again tries to kidnap the newborns Mario and Luigi. Once again, Mario finds himself on Yoshi’s Island and has to reunite the brothers and put the evil turtles in their place. In the finale of the original Yoshi’s Island, the brothers end up with their parents.
At the beginning of Yoshi’s New Island, it is revealed that dad and mom were fake, and the brothers had to find a new home. Quite a strange twist for a fairy tale adventure. The gameplay has been rolled back to the basics, laid back in the SNES wanderers. The dinosaur swallows enemies and recycles them into eggs.
It is their competent throwing that holds a good half of the gameplay. So, to open the door, you have to hit the egg in the prize cloud. To lower the bridge, you would not believe, is required to perform the same action. Even the bosses have to be egged, like bad musicians.
But there’s more to Yoshi’s New Island, too. The gigantomania that plagued Nintendo’s internal studios back in the days of New Super Mario Bros. For example, a vast monster defying all the laws of the universe can turn into an equally giant egg, which can flatten almost all the objects on the level. Prone to transformation, Yoshi mastered the new forms: now cheerful dinosaurs can transform into a balloon and a jackhammer. In general, the gameplay stayed true to tradition, although the pace of the gameplay decreased slightly. At least, it seems so.
Jurassic Park: The Game.
After the puzzle-saturated Puzzle Agent and conservative-neutral Back to the Future, Telltale suddenly swung in the opposite direction. In Jurassic Park, on the contrary, did everything possible to make the game more like an interactive movie in the well-known universe: character control was taken away, puzzles were removed, but a lot of QTE were inserted having failed, which, you will only admire the “Dinosaurs tearing the victim to pieces” picture. Yes, Jurassic Park: The Game was the first Telltale game with Game Over and reminded more of Dragon’s Lair than the company’s previous works, so it was very coolly received by both adventure fans and Jurassic Park fans. Telltale’s popularity was not added by the scandal with the aggregator site Metacritic when it turned out that the studio’s employees left enthusiastic “user reviews” on Jurassic Park.
But don’t be disappointed early on – there are positive aspects to the project. Firstly, it was a valuable experience to create the action-oriented game, and many of the tested methods were later used in The Walking Dead. Secondly, the writers wrote a perfect story without using the already existing storyline from the famous movie. In this adventure, you are waited by brand new, well-described characters, whom you will feel empathy for during several hours of passing. And the action itself is set according to the canons of Hollywood blockbusters – dinosaurs are chasing the characters and snapping their huge teeth right in front of their noses; in general, the heat of passion is supported by all known to film and game makers ways.
ARK: Survival Evolved
ARK: Survival Evolved is one of the most popular sandbox games on Steam. More than 50 thousand people play it simultaneously. These results were possible mainly due to an exciting concept and off-the-wall setting – players have to survive not in an atmosphere of the zombie apocalypse or another epidemic, but on a lost island, where there is a primitive culture and prehistoric reptiles, which by all laws of nature should have long ago died out. However, gamers still won’t have time to be surprised – if you can’t get provisions, get weapons, and build a fortified home, the player himself will soon become extinct. On 36 square kilometers of land and 12 square kilometers of the sea, you’ll find a lot of valuable and dangerous, so you’ll have to explore it all for days and weeks.
ARK is primarily positioned as a multiplayer game, so survival in the world of dinosaurs involves interaction with other players on the server. It can be both friendly coexistence and aggressive warfare. If you are not a fan of the latter – then welcome to the special PVE-server, where the infliction of harm to persons on the other side of the network cable is prohibited. Anyway, battles in the game are not given as much time as it seems at first glance. Follow this link if you are interested in The Most Popular Android Games of other genres.
LEGO Series
The LEGO series is one of the few examples of “family-oriented” entertainment that will be played with interest by absolutely everyone, both elementary school-age children and their parents (or even incredibly advanced grandparents). And Jurassic World is made by the same series of films and allows you to participate in many events that have gone through all the famous characters, clearly no exception to the rules. The moderate difficulty will enable you to pass the game without unnecessary aggravation. The old-school desire to uncover as many secrets intelligently feeds the interest in a thorough playthrough. We managed to please everyone – newcomers, who, at best, started their acquaintance with the franchise from the 2015 film, will learn about the previous events, and old fans will remember or look at the famous scenes from a different angle.
