Star Wars wasn’t the only meal on the menu at Celebration Europe last week, there was also the not inconsequential matter of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and its director James Mangold (also heading to the GFFA with his Dawn of the Jedi era movie), who amongst other topics touched on the return of John Williams, the legendary composer who not only claimed Indy 5 would be his final hurrah, but after seeing the film got busy. Very busy.

“It’s even more complex than that. I was thrilled beyond belief, but at first he was going to write some themes, you know, and then hire some people to help arrange it throughout the movie. And then he saw the movie. And then he started writing themes, and then he just didn’t stop until he had written over two hours of music. In pencil!”

With the film premiering next month at Cannes and out into the world in June, here’s a listen to the first composition released, Helena’s Theme.
