With awards season half a year away, a very welcome and impressive record has been broken by the second season of Andor: A Star Wars Story as the final five episodes all achieve an IMDB rating of over 9.5 per episode, making Andor the first show – not just the first Star Wars show, the first TV show, period – to have five consecutive episodes hit a ranking of 9 or above. Who Are You? hit 9.8, Welcome To The Rebellion 9.7, Make It Stop 9.6, Who Else Knows? 9.5 and Jedha, Kyber, Erso 9.6. Culture Crave took a look at the highest rated live action Star Wars episodes on IMDB since The Mandalorian launched in 2019, and it’s a strong showing for Andor with 6 of the 7 highest rated episodes coming from Andor, only matched at number one by The Mandalorian season 2 finale The Rescue on 9.8.
