Adam Savage is back and this time he’s brought former ILM modeler John Duncan with him to craft some R2-D2 pieces for their very own astromech. Be sure to check out last weekends DroidCon for more astromech action, and stay tuned as Fantha Tracks shall once again be heading to Droid Builders UK in August.

Adam welcomes former ILM colleague John Duncan to the cave to spend the day building some new R2-D2 parts for their own astromech replicas. They discuss their first droid builds in the secretive R2-D2 builder’s group at the ILM model shop and their access to the original props during the filming of Star Wars: Episode II. John has been refining his own build ever since and brings in his parts for the side vents to assemble and paint!
