Position Summary (Intent and purpose of the role)

Reporting to the Director of Education, the Director of K-College Programs is responsible for imagining and directing educational initiatives and programs that encourage engagement among educators, students, and the Museum. This role will oversee a team of professional staff responsible for carrying out the vision of the Education Department at the Museum and digitally. This position is responsible for: developing an innovative program roster that inspires 21st century teachers and students to imagine and create; articulating the scope of programming and desired outcomes; and building effective partnerships in order to ensure the Museum is at the forefront of shaping innovative museum education practices for these key audiences.
