Customising Your Fandom: A Grand Army

There are more flavours of Star Wars action figure collecting than Willrow Hood’s ice cream selection.

One such collecting pastime is army building. Fuelled by the endless ranks of on screen troops or highly populated action figure diorama adverts, Padawan collectors dreamt of building their own armies for play or display on a grander scale. However with pocket money, birthday and Christmas constraints, acquiring multiples of figures could be at the expense of collecting new figures.

In commonality with other forms of Star Wars action figure collecting, should the Force remain strong, childhood restrictions might be revisited later in life with a budgeted disposable income.

Here’s some of my army building collections with their ranks bolstered by some custom brethren.
