Richard E. Grant moves from one Disney project to another as he steps through the portal from the Star Wars galaxy to the Marvel Universe as he takes on a role in the new Disney Plus series Loki.

Sources say the actor is already finalised talks and signed onto the project, it is unknown what role he will play in the series.

Richard E. Grant recently starred as General Pryde in ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’, he was also nominated for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role Award at the Academy Awards for his role in Marielle Heller’s ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.

This will not be Richard E. Grant’s first time in a Marvel role, he played DR. Rice in James Mangold’s ‘Logan’ which saw an elderly and weary Logan leading a quiet life until Laura, a mutant child who is being pursued by scientists including Dr Rice, comes to him for help.

The Disney+ ‘Loki’ series currently has an all-star ensemble cast including Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the God of Mischief alongside Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Cailey Fleming and (potentially) Sasha Lane.

‘Sex Education’ director Kate Herron will helm all 6 episodes of the series, ‘Rick & Morty’ writer Michael Waldron will serve as showrunner on the series.
