Gaming has always done a great job at immortalising big titles from the big screen to our own home entertainment and looking back through these older games you’re able to see where the biggest style changes have come from and even design choices for later movies – this is certainly true for Star Wars having received both big AAA releases and huge titles, but also smaller more casual titles that only feature hints of the genre in the likes of games found at BetMGM casino amongst many others, but which games have stood the test of time and still live up to expectations today?
Lego Star Wars Collection – There have been a series of Lego Star Wars games for all of the big releases, and each one tends to be more raved about than the ones before. The LEGO games do a great job of retelling the story that is seen on screen and often add in some additional little flavour pieces too, making the games just as fun for the kids that enjoy playing them but also the parents playing them too – often with a number of different puzzles and some collectibles to be found throughout there’s plenty in these games to capture attentions for a good amount of time, particularly with todays games often being much shorter than in the past, and there’s a reason why they always sell so well.
The Old Republic – The official MMORPG brought by BioWare and LucasArts was a pretty big hit when it first released back in 2011 receiving some great reviews whilst even now still being rated as a 9/10 on the popular gaming platform Steam allowing players to become their own jedi knight, bounty hunter, or any other profession you liked the look of. Although it still has an active player base, it does look a little dated by todays standards and may likely soon go the way of many games before but does also open the opportunity that another big MMO Star Wars title could come in its place.
Battlefront 2 – As the original game is considered a classic by many, the 2017 newer version of Battlefront II initially took some fans by surprise but certainly something that has worked out well as another game that has received some great reviews over the years – brought to players by the team behind other big games like Battlefield, it was able to deliver on the shooter aspect very well and the introduction of the different vehicles and weapons provides solid gameplay too. It also helps that you feel invincible after getting a kill streak and get to transform in to your favourite Empire or Rebellion figure to relive that same feeling from the original game when you were able to do the same too.
There will undoubtably be many more Star Wars games to come, and each will bring exciting new opportunities for players too, it’s just a matter of when rather than if!
