Could Natalie Portman return as Padmé Amidala in Ahsoka season 2?

While this is far from confirmed in any way, Kristian Harloff is claiming that a deal to bring Natalie Portman back to the galaxy far, far away is close, meaning there’s a chance we could see Padmé Amidala in flashback scenes in season 2 of Ahsoka, which starts filming later this year in the UK. With Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen already back in modern Star Wars television, the opportunity to reunite the Prequel Trilogy ‘Big Three’ could be right on our collective horizons.

According to Kristian Harloff, Portman is close to signing a deal to reprise her role as Padmé Amidala in Ahsoka Season 2. Furthermore, Harloff speculates her return will be made through the same mystical plane that brought back old characters last season, the World Between Worlds. It’s unclear what a Padmé appearance would entail, but we’d wager that it would also include Christensen as Anakin in some form. Although Filoni seems keen on bringing back the dead for Ahsoka, it seems it will all be connected to the main character’s personal journey. Of course, nothing has been confirmed thus far, but there is some credibility to the latest rumor.

Again, zero confirmation from Lucasfilm on this, but – but – if this were to come to pass, what a great for fans of the second trilogy. We’ll be sure to discuss this and much more on forthcoming episodes of Good Morning Tatooine and Making Tracks.
