Fans of the ILMxLab game Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge and Star Wars music in general, will be please to hear that Walt Disney Records have this week released the game soundtrack to all of the usual digital music platforms.
The game is a virtual reality adventure originally released in November 2020 for the Oculus Quest systems and is inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (aka Black Spire spaceport on the planet, Batuu) at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom of Disneyland and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.

The soundtrack features the talents of Emmy® and BAFTA-winning composer Bear McCreary (DaVinci’s Demons, Outlander, God of War); composer Joseph Trapanese (Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, The Greatest Showman); and composer/technical audio designer, Danny Piccione (Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series — Episode III, Myth: A Frozen Tale) across its 21 tracks as follows :

Obviously there are nods to the kind of music you hear whilst in a Disney park as you wander around, and tracks that obviously play out with events in the game, but you don’t have to have visited the park or played the game to enjoy this collection.
