Contrary to what he’s said before on the topic of Snoke’s true identity, Andy Serkis – on the promo trail for his new movie SAS: Red Notice – was asked what he knew about the Supreme Leader heading in to The Rise of Skywalker.
“It was very much under wraps, very much under wraps. I had an inkling, but it was not confirmed.”
Previously, Serkis had claimed to know Snoke’s backstory.
“I know what his backstory is, but I don’t want to reveal it. His traits are born out of injuries from battle and a deep sense of revenge.”
Whatever Serkis was told when he filed The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, the ultimate truth was that Snoke was a clone created by the Sith Eternal to serve the resurrected Emperor Palpatine. What Serkis knew turned out to be based on the false memories held by Snoke himself.
