It’s Star Wars Day, and as we look back 42 years to the original film (and 36 years to the release of Return of the Jedi) there’s plenty to be excited about right now. The Rise of Skywalker, the 2022 – 2026 trio of films, more animated series including the second season of Star Wars Resistance and the return of The Clone Wars and in November the arrival on Disney Plus of The Mandalorian.

Jon Favreau has brought together a superstar line-up of directors for his first season including Dave Filoni, Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard, who talks here to Collider about her experience (and it’s very clear that she was stoked about being a part of the show, so we’ll forgive her for describing the volume as a holodeck.)
