We were incredibly fortunate when Sir Christopher Lee joined the Star Wars galaxy six years after the passing of his great friend Peter Cushing, and while the role of Count Dooku became integral to the prequel era, his appearance (during the same period of time) as Saruman in Lord of the Rings held even more meaning. The only member of the Rings cast or crew to have ever met J.R.R Tolkien, here we see Sir Christopher with the late, great Terry Wogan back in 2006 on Wogan: Now and Then discussing this momentous meeting, as well as looking back at his battle with Yoda in Attack of the Clones.

Sir Christopher Lee is in this episode of Classic Chat, as he discusses with Terry Wogan his role of Dracula within his acting career, the times he worked for no money at all, and when Saruman the white met J.R.R. Tolkien.
