TIG-Series Assassin Droids are available as characters to play in Star Wars: Legion, and William Shick writing over at Atomic Mass Games takes a look at their devastating impact on the Legion battlefield.
“Initiate self-destruct sequencing.” -IG-11, The Mandalorian
Not long after the Clone Wars, a new type of sentient droid was unleashed from deep within the workshops of Holowan Laboratories. Evolved from previous iterations of models successfully field-tested during the war, several versions of the IG-series assassin droid were set loose upon the galaxy. They were armed with a variety of weapons, and capable of hunting their targets with malicious precision. Although the IG-series was outlawed soon after their creation, notable variants—such as IG-88 and IG-11—played critical roles in many important events throughout the galaxy. In this installment of Scene to Stats, we’re taking a look at IG-88 and IG-11 for Star Wars ™: Legion!
One of the most famous bounty hunters of all time, IG-88 bursts onto the scene with a wide array of keywords and abilities. The Empire can hire this notorious assassin droid and make use of his Bounty keyword to hunt down Operatives and Commanders alike—which IG-88 can reliably do with his aggressive programming.
He brings an impressive array of offensive keywords, such as Arsenal 2, Sharpshooter 1, and Surge: Critical. Defensively, Armor 1, Impervious, and a red defense die represents IG-88’s sturdy construction. IG-88’s Vibro-Cleaver, Modified E-11 Blaster, and Modified DLT-20A rifle provide excellent options no matter the situation. Finally, a training, comms, and gear icons give IG-88 diverse upgrade options to kit this robot assassin out for any need. These choices ensure that IG-88 will collect his bounty and prove himself an asset to any army he’s added to.
GALAXY'S SEEDY UNDERBELLY: Dive into the underworld. Introduce mercenaries from notorious factions like Black Sun and Pyke syndicates into your game, or unite them under the banner of the Shadow Collective led by Maul himself.
EXPANSIVE MINIATURE SET: 22 highly detailed miniatures feature iconic characters like Maul, Shadow Collective Mandalorian Super Commandos, Black Sun Enforcers, and Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers. Expand your armies with these formidable additions.
CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: Customize your forces with 30 upgrade cards that unlock heavy weapons and introduce characters like Rook Kast, enhancing your tactical options on the battlefield.
UNITE OR ALLY: Choose your path as you decide whether to hire mercenaries from Black Sun and Pyke syndicates to bolster existing factions or unite them all under Maul's leadership. The galaxy's fate is in your hands.
