Our good buddy Albin Johnson is back with a patch from the past, the return of the Detention Block 2551 emblem that long time 501st members will remember well. Over to Albin with all the info you need.

Hey there Star Wars buddies!
It’s been five years since we commissioned an emblem to celebrate Detention Block 2551: the original Geocities website where I hosted the 501st Squad and its first members back in the late nineties. The Squad became a Legion shortly thereafter and moved to its own web hosting. So this is a tribute to the roots of the club and fond memories I have of a crazy idea that ended up going big!

So I’m doing a small batch of the original two designs by artist Dave Liew: the Interrogation Droid on a hexagonal patch (v1) and the “Boots Up” trooper (v2) I thought would capture the fun of the early website. We offered various fun captions on the Boots Up patch, but my favorite quotes Han Solo when he’s trying to smooth talk his way out of trouble in the Detention Block. So this time around we’re doing a third version with that caption included.

* Patches are $7 apiece (or $5 apiece for orders of five or more)
* Order yours by sending payment via PayPal to trooper.tk210@gmail.com (please list which items you are ordering in the transaction notes)
* Shipping is $1 per five patches ordered within the U.S.
* International shipping is $3 for 1 to 5 patches – please email me at trooper.tk210@gmail.com for a quote on orders over 5 patches
* Patches will ship in late August
* All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation
* Deadline for pre-orders is August 20th. Any orders after that will depend on what is available from the quantity we order based on demand.
* Items available to all Star Wars fans everywhere
* See all the Star Wars items and info and bundle to save on shipping at www.r2kt.com/r2-kt-stuff/ (I put non-KT items there too for easy reference)
* Feel free to email me at trooper.tk210@gmail.com with any questions

I think the caption on the Boots Up trooper is a bit funny and ironic considering the times. So I hope you all enjoy a wink and a smile with this design. And I hope everyone joins me in celebrating Star Wars fandom and its roots.

Most of all, I hope everyone is staying safe and in good spirits!
