Star Wars is a franchise that always attracts attention. The new Han Solo movie comes this year, and, as expected, it’ll have its own LEGO subtheme.

Let’s take a look at the sets to come!

The LEGO Han Solo 2018 Sets

Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit theatres in May. That, of course, means a new LEGO Star Wars 2018 subtheme! The movie centres around popular character Han Solo, and should feature the smuggler himself, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian and many classic characters of the Star Wars universe.

LEGO isn’t far behind and the subtheme should hit the stores in April this year. Like the other Star Wars subsets, it should bring many characters, locations and creatures in LEGO format. These may even include some original trilogy classic settings, which is great for LEGO Star Wars collectors.

Thus far, we have eight set numbers, with only a few names and pictures to match them. Still, let’s go through what we do know about them and what it may mean.

75212 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon

We will begin with the high point of the Solo subtheme. We all love the Millennium Falcon and it has several entries in the LEGO roster, each different from the next, in different sizes and piece counts.

This one is the Kessel Run version, the famous moment in Han’s career briefly mentioned in the original trilogy. We don’t yet know what makes this version particularly different, other than some blue details to the hull. This set does include some very classic minifigures: Chewbacca, Qui’Ra, Han Solo and Lando Calrissian. This set should have 1414 pieces, making for a fairly detailed Millennium Falcon.

75211 Imperial TIE Fighter

TIE Fighters (and variations such as Bombers, Interceptors and others) are popular subjects in LEGO. This is definitely isn’t the first one. Still, every TIE Fighter is somewhat unique and we can expect this one to be as well. This set should have 519 pieces and comes with four minifigures: a Mimban Stormtrooper, Han in an Imperial disguise, an Imperial Pilot, and Tobias Beckett in an Imperial disguise.

75209 Han Solo’s Landspeeder

Slightly smaller in piece number than Moloch’s, this Landspeeder looks very classy, almost like a car. It seems slimmer and wide, in a nice dark blue colour. The set includes a Han Solo minifigure (young Han Solo, as some say) and Qi’Ra, as well as a Corellian Hound which seems larger than the ones in set 75210.

75210 Moloch’s Landspeeder

This set has 464 pieces and shows Moloch’s Landspeeder. It isn’t the only one of its type in this subtheme, as Han also gets his Landspeeder in LEGO format. This may suggest some sort of chase or race to come in the new movie. This set includes Moloch, a character named Rebolt, and two Corellian Hounds, which are new to LEGO and likely introduced in the new movie. Rebolt has a whip and Moloch has a staff and a pistol.

75207 Imperial Patrol Battle Pack

There’s a new Stormtrooper design — one that seems to add more black to their traditional white. The new print looks very cool, and the set includes a vehicle, which seems to have stud shooters. This set also includes a Death Star Trooper and an Imperial Officer.

75215 Cloud-Rider Swoop Bikes

This set features a pair of speeder bikes. Although speeders are not relatively new to the LEGO Star Wars scene, this pair of speeders is distinctly designed from Solo: A Star Wars Story. The set is made up of 355 pieces and includes 3 minifigures, each with their own unique weapons. The bikes are each built with stud shooters and cargo compartments. One speeder even comes with a sidecar. The pair of bikes are meant to be ridden by Enfys Nest and Weazel to capture the elusive Tobias Beckett.

75217 Imperial Conveyex Transport

The LEGO Imperial Conveyex Transport is the best thing you could have representing a LEGO Star Wars train. It’s also shown frequently in the most action-packed scenes in the entire Solo movie. The set is composed of 622 pieces and includes 5 minifigures; Han Solo, Chewbacca, an Imperial Gunner, and 2 Range troopers. The gunner and troopers are fitted with the newly designed neck-warmers from latest Star Wars feature, which look really nice. The transport also has a detachable, wheel cargo and a rotating stud shooter.

75219 Imperial AT-Hauler

Of course, the Imperial AT-Hauler is meant to work with the 75217 Imperial Conveyex Transport. This awesomely designed ship is meant to haul the cargo cart from the transport with its own lifting beam. Its colored in mostly white and comes in 829 pieces. This set also includes 5 minifigures; Qi’ra, Val, Rio Durant and 2 of Dryden’s guards. One great thing is that LEGO provides 9 blasters for the 5 minifigures to battle.

Other sets

There should be three more sets we don’t know the names of (75215, 75217, 75219). There will also be at least two Brickheadz, a Chewbacca (41609) and a Han Solo (41608).

More than that, we’ll have some other original trilogy sets, including Yoda’s Hut and another version of the Mos Eisley Cantina scene featuring Han. The latter is already out.

So this is what we know about the LEGO Han Solo sets, for the moment. There seem to be more new characters, returning old characters, new vehicles and Stormtrooper designs, and cool animals as well. These sets should come out in April, and we can hardly wait!
