This is definitely one to watch, from the producers of The Toys That Made Us, a new documentary series looking at the hard times toy shops are currently experiencing in the coronavirus crisis – A Toy Store Near You.

The latest docuseries from producer Brian Volk-Weiss and The Nacelle Co. — the team behind Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us — will showcase independent toy stores in the U.S. and other locations around the world as they evolve to deal with the effects of the coronavirus and the spread of COVID-19 on their businesses.

A Toy Store Near You will debut later this month with one or two episodes each week streaming across Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Vimeo. More than 40 local toy and collectible retailers are on board for the first season. Each episode will delve into the history, selection, and the people that make each store unique.

The majority of the proceeds from the series will directly benefit each store that is featured, most of which have been forced to close completely or are operating under modified circumstances due to mandatory stay-at-home orders that stifle all but essential retail.
