We are thrilled to announce the beginning of a new chapter in the Star Wars Celebration Diorama Workshop.  We will be celebrating our 20 year anniversary at Star Wars Celebration and will be hosting our latest experience in Anaheim on May 26-29.  Frank Diorio, retired founder of the original workshop passed the baton in 2020 to his trusted colleagues for a new era in the diorama experience going forward!  The new leaders of the diorama event you know and love are: toymaker and artist Jamie “Sillof” Follis (Sillof.com), who has been with the diorama workshop since the very beginning, and award winning architect Alissa D.Luepke Pier, AIA, who has been a key member of the workshop since 2006.

The workshop has been rebranded into DIYorama Events and will be everything that fans have come to expect when planning their time at Celebration, and more!    We are adding to the experience in new and exciting ways.  We will be posting updates on our website https://diyoramaevents.com/ and on our Instagram account @diyorama_events

At the show, fans will be guided in the creation of small scenes. They will design and construct the buildings and terrain, paint miniatures, kitbash vehicles, and create accessories.  Best of all, this is a FREE event for Celebration attendees –  young and old alike! . The event is open to anyone with any level of skill.  Parents can work with their children, newcomers can learn from our experienced team and more seasoned builders can tackle some of the more ambitious and complex parts of the build.  Each scene is combined together to make a sprawling and truly breathtaking unified display that spans 1,400+ square feet!  So you get to make a piece that becomes part of the show and Star Wars Celebration history.  At the completion of the show, your piece is free for you to take home.  So not only do you get to learn new skills, you get to be part of Celebration, and take home your very own, one of a kind souvenir.  But, the best part of all will be the memories you make with your fellow fans, your friends and family and the new friends you make at the event.

In addition to the primary build, we will be offering a variety of smaller, free master classes with our talented team, working one-on-one with these groups on topics ranging from painting, customizing, kitbashing, sculpting, and construction.

Please stop by and join us at Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim California on May 26-29, 2022.
