While it helps that the helmet comes from one of the greatest movies of all time, but nevertheless £360,000 is a hefty price to pay for the iconic helmet of Darth Vader. but that could be the price it reaches in the Profiles in History auction in Los Angeles on 25th September. A spokesman described the helmet and its importance.
“Without question, Darth Vader is one of the greatest villains ever portrayed on film.
“His angular, skull like mask and helmet has been lifted to iconic status and is universally recognised as a symbol of evil in pop culture.
“Original Darth Vader helmet/masks are exceedingly rare and considered the Holy Grail of science fiction artefacts.”
