Dorchester Strikes Back returns this weekend! After its successful inaugural event last August, the team is back to bring the galaxy of Star Wars back to the heart of Dorset. The Corn Exchange in the centre of the historic market town of Dorchester is where you need to be for this free to attend charity event. Dorchester Strikes Back 2025 starts at 10am on Saturday 2nd August 2025 and continues Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The event promoted by Jedi Archives and Star Bores Podcast will see the main stage hosted by Jason Ling (Star Bores Podcast & Jedi News), Steve Galloway (Literature Editor, Jedi News) and Peter Adams (Star Bores Podcast).

Members of the UK Garrison, Rebel Legion UK, Mandalorian Mercs, Saber Guild – Naboo Temple and The Dark Empire will be in attendance. They will be hosting panels and demonstrations about their groups and posing in costume for photographs with attendees. James Burns, Brand Director of Jedi News will also be a guest at the show, and he will be discussing his 20+ year involvement in Star Wars fandom and displaying new LEGO Star Wars sets on the Jedi News stand. Jedi Archives will also have a pop-up store on site to satisfy your appetite for Star Wars retail therapy.

Cosplay for attendees is encouraged and there will be a competition for children and adults. There will also be fun spot prize competitions held throughout the day.

This year Dorchester Strikes Back 2025 will be raising money for Blood Cancer UK and Dorset County Hospital Charity through donations, raffle and event patch sales.

But it doesn’t just stop at the close of Saturday. On Sunday, the Jedi Archives store is the venue for Dorchester Strikes Back 2025 day two for a Star Wars Unlimited gaming day. Starting at 10am, it is designed for players of all ages and abilities. Newcomers wanting to try out Star Wars Unlimited gaming for the first time are very welcome! The Jedi Archives, Star Bores Podcast and Jedi News teams will be on hand to help guide and teach attendees.

So, if you are in the Dorchester area on Saturday or Sunday, and you want your Star Wars fix, you know where you need to be.

We look forward to seeing you there!
