Echo Base Live returns to Redditch for the 13th time on Saturday 7th October, and the night before they are holding their Star Guest Dinner, which takes place at the Abbey Hotel in Redditch. But who will be there?

The first guest announcements have now been shared, and they’re Return of the Jedi royalty:

We are pleased to announce that our first guest at Echo Base LIVE on 7th October is…

Mr Sean Crawford – Yak Face

Sean was the mime artist/puppeteer of Saelt-Marae (Yak Face) and a Mon Calamari officer in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.

He was also half of robotic mime-and-music duo Tik and Tok (alongside Tim Dry). They began performing together with Shock, a rock/mime/burlesque/music troupe in the early 1980s.

Sean will be with us all day, signing autographs and answering your questions.

Sean will also be attending our Star Guest Dinner, tickets available now.

Autograph Price: £20

We are pleased to announce that our second guest at Echo Base LIVE on 7th October is…

Mr Simon Williamson – Max Rebo

Simon regards Max Rebo as the main character he played in ROTJ, but he also had a lot of fun playing Gamorrean guards – Jubnuk (who gets eaten by the monstrous Rancor) and Gartogg, the main guard in Jabba’s palace. He also played a Mon Calamari officer and assisted Mike Quinn in his masterful puppeteering of Nein Numb.

Simon was one of the foremost mime artist/creature performers in film/tv industry in the early 1980’s. You will have seen his work in Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal, Frank Oz’s Little Shop of Horrors, and in three Muppet films. Outside the world of Star Wars he is also an actor, writer and director.

Simon will be available all day to sign your items and answer any of your questions.

Autograph Price: £25 (Funko £35)

Simon will also be joining our Star Guest Dinner, tickets available now!

(Autograph charges apply, all guests are subject to change and are beyond the control of the event promoter)

Both of these guys are great fun and fabulous guests, so book you early bird entry and Star Guest Dinner tickets now via their Facebook page.
