May 4th will see the first part of the Jeremy Bulloch auction take place and East Bristol Auctions have contacted us with this information relating to the event, and some of the incredible items available for auction.

A large collection of memorabilia from the collection of Jeremy Bulloch who played Boba Fett in Star Wars is set to sell for thousands at auction in Bristol. Bulloch played the villainous Bounty Hunter in both The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return Of The Jedi (1983), but despite being on screen for mere minutes the character has become one of the best loved and most recognisable in the franchise.

His appearance in the films was a big hit with fans, and he was able to spend a lifetime travelling the world, going to conventions and other Star Wars events. He often delighting fans with his appearances, signing autographs and taking part in special events.
Bulloch passed away in 2020 from complications relating to Parkinson’s Disease, a condition he had lived with for many years. Now his collection of Boba Fett memorabilia is going up for auction, with a portion of the proceeds being donated Parkinson’s UK. The sale will be held by East Bristol Auctions who have previously sold the collections of both Dave Prowse and Julian Glover – both of whom starred in the original Star Wars trilogy.

During his travels around the globe, Bulloch amassed a collection of thousands of items relating to his character, and the franchise in general.
Highlights within his collection include; a life-sized Boba Fett mannequin that was cast from Bulloch’s own body and displayed in his attic ‘Boba Fett Museum’ for around thirty years, there are also film reels of unseen footage from Return Of The Jedi, and even Bulloch’s script from his cameo appearance in Revenge Of The Sith. Other items include hundreds of action figures, personal autographs from co-stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Dave Prowse, and a wealth of fan artwork and gifts.
Auctioneer Andrew Stowe says ‘Jeremy was quite clearly an avid collector – he didn’t just star in the films, he enjoyed them as much as any other fan. Not only that but he was regarded as one of the most approachable and friendly actors, so fans adored him – and he amassed many gifts wherever he appeared. His collection is remarkable, and completely unique!’
Boba Fett – The Estate Of Jeremy Bulloch Auction takes place on international Star Wars day – May 4th – from midday. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Parkinson’s UK. The full catalogue can be viewed online at bid.eastbristol.co.uk

Statement from Maureen Bulloch:
During the twenty or so years that Jeremy attended conventions in relation to his role as Boba Fett from the Star Wars films, he acquired a large collection of memorabilia. He was also given items made by fans as well as a lot or artwork, some of it by well-known artists. Jeremy loved and appreciated every single item and proudly displayed them in his office. We, as his family, would now like to offer some of this memorabilia for fans to enjoy. The auction will be held on the auspicious date of May 4th with East Bristol Auctions. A substantial donation from the proceeds will go to Parkinson’s UK. We would like to thank our friend Julian Owen who patiently spent hours cataloguing the memorabilia. May The Force Be With You.

Additional information relating to key items:
Boba Fett Statue (£8,000 to £12,000): the statue was created in the late 1990s and Bulloch actually spent several weeks modelling and being cast for the piece. 500 were made and issued by a company called Rubies. Many were sent for display in restaurants and shops. This one belonged to Bulloch for around thirty years and was displayed in his attic museum. It features in countless interviews and photographs. It really is Boba Fett’s Boba Fett!

Unseen Return Of The Jedi Footage (£3,000 to £5,000): Bulloch’s half-brother was Star Wars producer Robert Watts. Watts shot the footage in November 1981 in North Carolina, and it shows early Ewok test footage. It is believed to be unseen ‘newly discovered’ footage. At some point Watts gifted the two reels to Bulloch and they remained in his safe storage for many years, unseen.

Carrie Fisher Autograph (£500 to £800): a really fun item – an 8×10” colour photograph showing Carrie Fisher alongside Bulloch (playing the part of an Imperial Soldier) which has been dedicated ‘’Jeremy – thanks for the nite of hot monkey love – Carrie Fisher.’ Fisher was very playful, and the unusual dedication relates to an unknown joke between the two. Completely unique.

Bulloch’s Script From Revenge Of The Sith (£1,500 to £2,500): Bulloch was invited back to the franchise in the prequel trilogy for a small cameo role of Captain Colton. The script is his personal reshoot script for his scene (and a few surrounding scenes) and features his lines. He was allowed to keep this after filming, and it features his name to the front cover.

Replica Boba Fett Helmet (£600-800): the closest you can ever get to owning Boba Fett’s helmet. A high-quality 1/1 scale replica helmet presented to Bulloch in the 1990s. Bulloch wore the helmet for interviews and videos taken in his home. It was his go-to helmet for videos on his website, and it can be seen in dozens of interviews and photographs.
