Interesting news arrives today regarding Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, the Disney World and Disneyland ride that currently operates with one storyline, with a second soon to join it on 22nd May when The Mandalorian and Grogu debuts. According to an article shared by the Wall Street Journal, the ride was originally due to have a total of five storylines, but four were cut due to time and budget constraints.

according to Imagineers (Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run) was originally set to have five separate story lines. However, it only debuted with one due to budget and time constraints. That one mission is led by Hondo Ohnaka (or Chewbacca in the secret “Chewie Mode”) and allows passengers to search for and retrieve coaxium. It is currently still the only mission running.

Passengers aboard the much-missed Halcyon will remember their ride onboard the Falcon during their trip to Batuu was slightly different to the regular mission played by everybody else (the ‘Chewie mode’), but knowing there were other missions created for the ride, let’s hope that one day – maybe after the Mando additions have caught the attention of the piblic – they see the light of day.
