One in a series of programs and special screenings presented at The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles. This seminar celebrates “Andor,” the Disney+ sci-fi series which is a prequel to the theatrical “Star Wars” spinoff “Rogue One.”

Actor Patton Oswalt moderates the following panelists: executive producer/creator/writer Tony Gilroy; executive producer/cast member Diego Luna (Cassian Andor), executive producer Sanne Wohlenberg; and cast members Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma), Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen), and Ben Mendelsohn (Orson Krennic).

The panelists touch on such topics as: how working on a series that was fully written before production began gave the actors greater liberty to track their character’s story arc’s across the entire season; the epic scale of the production and Diego Luna’s appreciation for the production team’s attention to detail in creating an authentic universe, including practical sets and working props, for the actor’s to inhabit; how the covid pandemic informed Tony Gilroy’s writing process; Adria Arjona’s approach to pivotal scenes; Genevieve O’Reilly’s memories of filming “Mon Mothma’s” stirring speech from the third block of episodes in season two, and more.
