Nick’s big break arrived in 1976 through his collaboration with veteran Special Make-up designer Stuart Freeborn, leading directly to his involvement in the creation of the original STAR WARS. He was a key contributor to the iconic Mos Eisley Cantina sequence, bringing characters like Chewbacca, Greedo, Dr. Evazan, Wuher the barman, Walrus Man (Ponda Baba), The Smoker (Dannik Jerriko), the Fly Alien (Tzizvvt), the Snaggletooths (Takeel & Zutton), the Crockers (Hrchek Kal Fas & Sai’torr Kal Fas), the Rat Alien (Reegesk) , the Snitch (Garindan), the Bat Alien (Kabe), and the Walrus creatures (Mosep).

In this can’t-miss panel at Rogue Fun II: Fun and Villainy, Nick will share incredible behind-the-scenes stories from the early days of the saga, focused specifically on insider information and slides about the creation of the Mos Eisley creatures.

During the weekend you can also ask him about his pivotal work on STAR WARS Episode V ~ THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. As the senior technician in the Creature FX workshop, he was a key collaborator in creating four versions of Yoda, earning him the nickname “that Yoda Guy.” His contributions also included co-building the full-size Wampa, designing and building the close-up Mynock puppet, and assisting with the Tauntaun’s animatronic head.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of his legendary work on the Star Wars galaxy, plus movies like SUPERMAN, HIGHLANDER, THE SHINING, and LIFEFORCE at his autograph table where you can get a signed photo to add to your collection.
