There can be only Juan!

On Monday night at the Atrium Arts Centre in Bromsgrove, Fantha Tracks started their countdown to The Last Jedi by watching The Force Awakens with a bit of a twist!

Before the film began, our intrepid group pitched their Star Wars knowledge against a hard-core group of fans in an interactive quiz, the twist being that all answers and questions were shared and answered on mobile devices.

The format was 4 rounds consisting of 20 questions; the scoring system varied each round and with bonus points for answering the fastest! The final round was a numbers question with the ability to go wide and lose points! This kept everyone on their toes as you just didn’t know how well you were doing until the end of each round!

To ensure no cheating, a TK from the Central Legion was on hand patrolling the auditorium, casting his eye over the teams!

Competition was tough and after leading the first 2 rounds Fantha Tracks “Let the Wookie win!” and were pipped to the post by Rogue Juan! Fantha Tracks will have the height of R2-D2 (according to Wookiepedia) forever etched into their memories. For those who don’t know it’s 109cm!

(Mark here, just checked and The Empire Strikes Back on the Atari 2600 WAS 1982, not 1983 as the quizmaster said)

The audience settled down to watch The Force Awakens, but not before commenting on the number of blue letters at the start of every Star Wars movie….

A fabulous night was had by all and we eagerly await the next one to try to claim the crown!
