BEWARE SPOILERS: Just like with the previous Disney Plus series, we at Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your entertainment! Here we will post every reference, Easter egg, everything named and unnamed per episode and some fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.

Episode 1 – One Year Later

Official summary: An undercover mission. A sanctuary threatened. A Chandrilan wedding. A chilling Imperial plan.

Trivia
The sound of the Ferrix anvil gong starts off the episode. It is one of the few subtle nods made to the planet that was so pivotal in Season 1. The other subtle nod is seeing a picture of Maarva Andor in the home that Cassian and the others are living in on Mina-Rau.

The test ship that Cassian is stealing is a TIE Avenger. The TIE Avenger was first featured in the 1994 TIE Fighter computer game from LucasArts. However, it was also inspired by the TIE Whisper from The Rise Of Skywalker.

Niya is a new character played by Rachelle Diedericks. Her outfit has a patch with the logo of Sienar Fleet Systems as seen in The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology and TIE Fighter Owners’ Workshop Manual guides. Later in the episode, during the Maltheen Divide meeting with Krennic, we can also see the same Project Stardust patch worn by its scientists on Eadu in Rogue One.

Niya’s co-worker is unnamed, but played by Chanel Waddock.

Then we get the reveal that we are in Sienar Test Facility 73. The Sienar family and company behind the TIE Fighters have been around since forever. However this is the first time that we see any of their worlds in live-action, as the Databank reveals that 73 is the name of the snowy planet.

Those are indeed Range Troopers walking by while Niya and Cassian meet up. We see another one targeted as Cassian tries to escape with the TIE.

While the helmet later identifies Cassian as a test pilot, the red markings on the helmet are standard also for Imperial Ace pilots. This is not necessarily an error, as we see in Rebels that Vult Skerris, who was such an Ace, acting as Thrawn’s test pilot for the TIE Defender.

The password that is given is Kafrene, a world seen in Rogue One.

‘Shit’ – a very Earthy curse rather than a Dank Ferrik – is heard. This is the second time that curse word has made it into Star Wars after Linus Mosk used it in season one on Ferrix.

The starfighters chasing Cassian are TIE Advanced V1 prototypes, first seen in the Rebels Season 1 episode Empire Day.

While Bix, Brasso, B2-EMO and Wilmon Paak are known from season 1, they are now joined by Talia (played by Claire Brown).

For those who may have forgotten: The man seen in Bix’s dream was Doctor Gorst, the one who tortured her at the end of the first season.

Chandrila makes a live-action appearance at long last. The planet was first mentioned back in 1987 in The Star Wars Sourcebook.

Peer Maids seems to be the Star Wars equivalent of bridesmaids.

The Mothma family is extended with a new uncle (Sordo) and aunt (Squidna). As Vel Sartha is a cousin, it is possible that she is the daughter of Sordo and Squidna.

Erskin Semaj is actually a character making the jump from Rebels to live-action. Played by Pierro Niel-Mee, his name is a tuckerization of James Erskine, Story Editor at Lucasfilm.

The agricultural world seen in the trailers, and earlier in the episode, is named on screen as Mina-Rau.

Bix and Wilmon spot an Imperial scan cruiser, which was based on the Gozanti-class cruiser seen before in both Rebels and The Mandalorian.

We get a lot of names and members within the Maya Pei brigade. Mentioned in the episode, or through the subtitles are: Gerdis, Bardi, Rika, Plug, Flek, Neek, Nazy, Rowd, Crab (the one guarding Cassian who told all). The end credits also give us: Snee, Snur, Tick, Bayso, Flu and Musk. This indeed matches the 15 blasters that Cassian was told to have pointed at him during his capture. The Rebel Maya Pei was mentioned a couple of times in Season 1, but has yet to make an appearance.

A secret Imperial meeting is held at a castle at the Maltheen Divide. Another such upper echelons secret meeting was seen in The Bad Batch (episodes 2×15 The Summit and 2×16 Plan 99), on Eriadu.

Colonel Yularen and Tarkin get their name checked, but Imperials seen are: known faces like Dedra Meero and Major Partagaz, but also new faces like Admiral Daysar (David Westhead), Dee Shambo (Ministry of Enlightment), Nisus Osar (Ministry of Enlightment), Lieutenant Moy (Jos Slovick) and a couple unnamed characters like Engineer Officer (Tom Bonington) and Science Officer (Matthew Pidgeon).

A Ghorman valley horn is heard and we are introduced to a very important location for this season. Ghorman was mentioned a lot of times last season. Despite it being a well-known world from the RPG days of West End Games, the capital city never received a name before, so Palmo is entirely new.

The Ghorman spider, or if we want to be fancy Ghorlectipods, its silk and the mineral Kalkite, are all new.

Steergard is mentioned in a conversation that Luthen is having on Chandrila. It was mentioned a few times before in Season 1, regarding the Starpath theft.
