Very little is known about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series from Disney+ beyond the casting of Ewan McGregor once more in the role, and Deborah Chow taking the director chair with Hossein Amini on writing duties.  But a new rumour has began to circulate that Joel Edgerton may return to his prequel trilogy role of Lukes’ uncle Owen Lars.

MTV News correspondant Josh Horowitz has fed the rumour by revealing that when he recently interviewed Joel Edgerton, and he believes the actor was evasive and coy on the notion of being in the series.

This could just be an actor being naturally cautious when discussing potential projects, but Horowitz is convinced that the way the actor evaded the questions means its a sure fire thing.

Let’s cross our fingers over this rumour until an official announcement is made.
