Could Rogue Squadron now be heading for the streaming realm?

It would be a very welcome turn of direction, bringing the adventures of Rogue Squadron to the small screen in a weekly serial, and that might – might – be happening. While the Patty Jenkins project still shows no sign of landing on the big screen despite Jenkins herself claining she owed Lucasfilm a script in 2024 (“I now owe a draft of Star Wars. So we will see what happens there. Who knows? They have a hard job in front of them”), a report from industry insider MyTimeToShineHello (hidden behind a paywall) are claiming that the realms of Disney Plus are now the directions set in the navacomputer.

“Rogue Squadron is now being developed as a TV series.”

We emphasize, this is a rumour, but….if a rumour had landed last month of an Adam Driver written Ben Solo film called The Hunt For Ben Solo with the involvement of Steven Soderbergh you’d have luaghed us out of the building so as ever, this is one to watch.

What do you think? Would you welcome a Rogue Squadron TV series, or prefer a silver screen adventure? Will Patty Jenkins remain involved, or could this move into different hands, and what era will the adventures be set in? Let us know your thoughts on Fantha socials and we’ll be discussing it on Fantha Tracks TV and radio.
