Following on from our recenbt post regarding the launch of a 60 day Indiegogo campaign to fund Iain Lowson’s short film Don’t, news arrives that the cast will be headed up by none other than Gold Leader himself, A New Hope and Rogue One‘s Angus MacInnes.

Embra Again Productions, in association with Crowded Films, are delighted and honoured to be able to confirm that Angus MacInnes will appear in Don’t, their short film project currently running a funding campaign on Indiegogo.
Writer/Director Iain Lowson:

“I’ve known Angus for a number of years now, after a chance meeting at the launch night for the Star Wars Special Editions on DVD at the Virgin Megastore in Edinburgh. He’s been a mentor and a friend ever since, but we’ve never had the chance to work together until now. I’m looking forward to him keeping me right over the course of the shoot.”

Announcing his involvement on his Facebook page, Angus MacInnes said:

“Crawling out of my den I noticed an invitation from my friend Iain Lowson that he is making a film and he kindly asked me to be part of it. I’ve noticed that over the years actor develop a ‘trigger’ mechanism that works like this; someone asks them to work and they automatically blurt out ‘yes’. It’s something most find difficult to control and very few master the inner strength to even pause before that inevitable ‘yes’ comes tumbling, fully and clearly articulated, from their lips.

“DON’T” is a short film in the sci-fish mode and I’m a big fan of short films and as most know, of sci-if so I’m excited about this project. Like most short films they are never a ‘commercial’ proposition. They are made for love both of the subject matter and for love of the filmmaking process.”
