On the promotion trail for next weeks Captain America: Brave New World, where Harrison Ford succeeds the late William Hurts as the newly elected president of the United States Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross – aka Red Hulk – the veteran actor discussed a number of topics including 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, a fantastic romp which failed to connect at the global box office. Clearly enjoying his latest gig in the MCU, Ford is very open regarding his feelings on Indy 5’s inability to capture a cinematic audience.
“S*** happens. I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened. I’m still happy I made that movie.”
