Big news as cinema icons Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren  – who teamed up on Peter Weir’s 1986 film The Mosquito Coast – will be back together in a prequel to the smash hit series Yellowstone, joining the project currently only known as 1932 set during the era of the Great Depression.

A couple of absolutely massive names have entered the Yellowstone world, with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren signing up to appear in a prequel to the hit show.

The A-listers will star in the Paramount+ series, which has a working title of 1932. The show will act as a prequel to the drama, with Ford and Mirren playing part of a generation of the Dutton family.

At this stage, there are no exact details regarding the characters that the Hollywood stars will be playing.

In a statement, Paramount+ said that that the drama “will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”

No announcement has been made so far regarding who else will be in the cast.
