Mark Rolfe returns with a stunning ambient tribute to the galaxy far, far away – out Friday 24th October 2025

Following the acclaimed success of Ambient Star Wars Volumes I and II, UK based composer and producer Mark Rolfe returns with Ambient Star Wars Volume III – his most expansive and cinematic chapter yet – available from Friday 24th October on CD and all major digital platforms.

Much loved by ambient music devotees and Star Wars fans alike, Mark’s immersive sonic journeys have become a staple for those seeking tranquillity within the galaxy’s most iconic themes. On Volume III, Rolfe delves even deeper into Star Wars folklore, drawing inspiration not only from the legendary work of John Williams, but also from Michael Giacchino, Kevin Kiner, and other composers behind Rebels, The Clone Wars, and Rogue One.

This beautifully crafted third volume elevates the ethereal and meditative qualities that define the series, tapping into the pure ambient essence of these beloved themes. Rolfe continues to push creative boundaries, incorporating textural ambient guitars, live string arrangements and haunting ambient vocal layers from Sharon Cohen Rolfe, his bandmate in acclaimed indie rock outfit Lorna.

“This record is a labour of love,” says Rolfe. “A token of love to the composers, to the melodies that shaped generations, and to the emotional gravity of those unforgettable cinematic moments that shaped the sound of my life.” With its lush soundscapes and transcendental tones, Ambient Star Wars Volume III is both a contemplative listening experience and a heartfelt tribute to the enduring magic of Star Wars music.
