Our protagonist in 6th April’s Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is the former Darth Maul, voiced by Sam Witwer, and The Direct have discerned that if he is the hero of the piece, the ‘villain’ is Captain Brander Lawson, voiced by Wagner Moura. Lawson is partnered by Two Boots, a droid voiced by British comedian Richard Ayoade, continuing a pattern that has seen fellow British comics voice droid characters (Phoebe Waller-Bridge as L3-37 in Solo, Ayoade as Q9-0 in The Mandalorian, and Matt Berry as 8D8 in The Book of Boba Fett – by that logic, could that mean that Simon Bird is voicing a droid in next years Starfighter?).
