A rumour has surfaced suggesting that more connections with the Alan Dean Foster novel Splinter of the Minds Eye may pop up in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.

La Fosa del Rancor is reporting that the Mimbanese, an alien race, will be featured in the film.  This is perhaps logical as we already have confirmation that the planet Mimban from the same novel features.

In Splinter of the Mind’s Eye there was an alien race who inhabited the planet called the Mimbanites.  Are these one and the same as the Mimbanese ?   We won’t have long to find out…  Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives on 24th May 2018 in the UK, and 25th in the USA.
