Oscar winner Chloe Zhao on directing Star Wars: “I have to tread very carefully with what I say here”

With an Oscar in her pocket for Nomadland and her next film The Eternals ready to parachute a new group of heroes into the MCU, the thought of Chloe Zhao entering the Star Wars galaxy and sitting in a directors chair is certainly a tantalising one. While discussing The Eternals with Empire Magazine, Zhao repeatedly mentioned her affection for the galaxy far, far away

She makes it very clear that yes, she would relish the chance to direct in the GFFA, so this is certainly a case of ‘watch this space’.
