Revenge of the Sith deleted scenes and Palpatine’s route to power

As we surge on into the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, there’s never been a more opportune time for George Lucas to think ‘this would be the perfect moment to do a directors cut of Episode III and add in those fantastic deleted scenes I filmed in 2003‘. As Andor season 2 approaches, Palpatine’s path to power is once again under the microscope and – setting aside their sale and advertisement of unlicenced Lucasfilm IP – the team at SWASabers have brought together those missing gems and underlined just how important they are, with key scenes for Padmé Amidala not only giving us more of the always marvellous Natalie Portman, but underpinning the Chancellors plot to undermine the Jedi Council and the Republic Senate, just two of the objectives he achieved with great success.

A prior video by SWASabers takes a look at other deleted moments and concepts from the film.
