Nothing confirmed via the team at Lucasfilm, so only skuttlebutt right now but industry website Production List are claiming that shooting on the Cassian Andor series – which they have listed as Star Wars: Andor – will begin on Wednesday 4th November, meaning as the second season of The Mandalorian progresses we could have brand new Star Wars content concurrently in production.

Shoot Date: November 04, 2020
Locations: London, United Kingdom
Los Angeles, CA, United States
Project Summary:

The Rogue One prequel will unfold in the early years of the Rebellion and is described as a rousing spy thriller. Luna will reprise his role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, the cocky daredevil who helped steal the Death Star plans in the hit 2016 movie.

Tony Gilroy (Director)

Jason McGatlin (Producer)

Stephen Schiff (Producer)

Kelly Erickson (Producer)

Kathleen Kennedy (Producer)

Kate Hazell (Line Producer)

Tony Gilroy (Writer)

Jonathan Freeman (Cinematographer)

Diego Luna (Cast)

Alan Tudyk (Cast)

It’s worth mentioning that due to travel restrictions Tony Gilroy has stepped down from the role of director, with UK based Black Mirror director Toby Hayne’s directing the first 3 episodes, and – again – until Lucasfilm make an announcement then it’s just a rumour, but fingers crossed we’re not far away from shooting beginning on what could be another landmark series for Lucasfilm.
