Star Wars Rebels had a strong showing in the nominations for the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy‘s but sadly missed out in the 3 categories it was nominated in. Congratulations to all concerned. Thankfully we know full well just how important the show is to fans of the saga, and just how brilliantly Dave Filoni and his company developed the story of young Ezra Bridger from a show pitched specifically at young kids into a well-rounded and integral part of the wider Star Wars story.

Best Children’s Program

“Alexa and Katie”
“Fuller House”
X — “The Magical Wand Chase: A Sesame Street Special”
“A Series of Unfortunate Events”
“Star Wars Rebels”

Best Music Composition (Series)

X — “Game of Thrones” — “The Dragon and the Wolf”
“Jessica Jones” — “AKA Playland”
“Once Upon a Time” — “Leaving Storybrooke”
“SEAL Team” — “Pattern of Life”
“Star Wars Rebels” — “Family Reunion – And Farewell”
“Westworld” — “Akane No Mai”

Best Sound Editing (Half Hour Series)

X — “Atlanta” — “Teddy Perkins”
“Ballers” — “Bull Rush”
“Barry” — “Chapter Seven: Loud, Fast and Keep Going”
“Star Wars Rebels” — “A World Between Worlds”
“Vice Principals” — “The Union of the Wizard and the Warrior”

And congratulations are due to Star Trek for winning the Governor’s Award for 2018.
