Taika Waititi, episode director on the upcoming Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian’ is to write and direct a Native American limited series for FX called ‘Reservation Dogs.’
Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit, What We Do In The Shadows) is set to write, executive produce, and direct at least the pilot episode a new limited series coming to FX called Reservation Dogs.
The series will follow four teenagers in “a Native American housing project in Oklahoma who commit petty crimes.” The series will also be written by Sterlin Harjo, who previously directed three films and a feature documentary, “all of them set in his home state of Oklahoma and concerned primarily with Native American people.”

Filming on Reservation Dogs is due to begin in February in Oklahoma.
