BEWARE SPOILERS: Just like with the previous Disney Plus series, we at Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your entertainment! Here we will post every reference, Easter egg, everything named and unnamed per episode and some fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.

Official summary: A bitter truth is revealed.

Trivia

The title of this episode, Choice, is the mirror to the episode title of the third episode, Destiny. Unsurprisingly, both episodes take place on Brendok and are flashbacks to the same events. Both episodes were directed by Kogonada.

It is unwise to insult a Wookiee’s cooking, just like it’s unwise to insult them during a game and the way they play. It is probably never wise to insult a Wookiee.

Nuna legs, also known as Nuna drumsticks, are a dish seen first in The Clone Wars. It was a favorite for Senator Orn Free Taa.

Torbin wanting to go home to Coruscant brings to mind another Padawan from The High Republic media who rather stayed on Coruscant, doing work in the Temple instead of going to missions: Reath Silas.

A hyperspace disaster that took place a hundred years ago was mentioned. While there is a bit of a difference in years (the disaster took place in 232 BBY, while the episode was in 148 BBY, so 84 years prior not a 100), it is most likely that they meant the Great Hyperspace Disaster that started off The High Republic Phase I. During the disaster the Nihil destroyed the Legacy Run while in hyperspace, causing debris to emerge and destroy many worlds and other starships. This resulted into a temporary closing of the hyperspace lanes as it was no longer save. These events also play a key role in the game Jedi: Survivor.

There are quite a few other known Vergences like: Anakin Skywalker (as mentioned as such by Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace), beneath the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, but also at other Jedi Temples like Ilum (The Clone Wars) and Lothal (Rebels), the Mirror cave on Ahch-To (The Last Jedi), the Skywalker lightsaber (for Rey in The Force Awakens) and the cave of evil on Dagobah. And Yoda even talks about Vergences in his holocron that was seen in the 2020 Star Wars comic series, in issue #20.

The speeder bike model is unknown. If we are to speculate, it would be a nice touch if this was also a product from last week’s Valkeri-Kuat Consolidated Enterprises.

When hearing the word “witches” Torbin makes the same assumption many of us did: Nightsisters of Dathomir as seen quite frequently in recent years.

To continue the two-symbolism we see two moons (or planets) in the sky.

Torbin was born on Bonadan, which is a world in the Corporate Sector/Outer Rim and the start of the Hydian Way hyperspace lane. Bonadan was first introduced in the Legends continuity with the novel Han Solo’s Revenge, which was written by Brian Daley.

Just like Anakin, Osha would not have been accepted to be trained by the Jedi for training because she is too old.

Ceremonial markings are customary in many cultures in the galaxy – these include the Mirialan like Vernestra, and even seems to be the case for Indara herself, as she wears 1 marking close to the eye during the flashback scenes, and three in the present day storyline.

This time around we do get to see Mae’s test with the screen. The testing screen shows: a creature (possibly a wampa?), a loth-cat and a GNK droid.

The blood results shows a very high M-Count, which of course stands once more for midi-chlorians. Symbionts are mentioned, which is also a term that Qui-Gon Jinn used in The Phantom Menace.

Witches are seen disappearing by turning into mist, which is yet another parallel to Mother Talzin and the Witches of Dathomir.

During the End Credits Grammy winner singer-songwriter Victoria Monét’s version of The Power Of Two plays. This track has been released weeks ago already and can be found in the usual online places to listen to.

Within the lyrics are: “You thought your soul was a necklace. That you could wear and take off. That you could rip then break off.” The last item that Mae claimed she saw on the screen, while nothing was visible, was a necklace.
