BEWARE SPOILERS: Just like with the previous Disney Plus series, we at Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your entertainment! Here we will post every reference, Easter egg, everything named and unnamed per episode and some fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.

Official summary: Confrontation and revelation await.

Trivia

For the first time in either an animated series or live-action series of Star Wars, the episode title is the same as the series.

There is a tradition of characters seen within Star Wars to push a single button in close-up. Characters like Padmé in Attack of the Clones (even to the point of her pushing the same button multiple times for different reasons) and even Grogu in The Mandalorian. In this episode Sol joins the tradition.

The helmet in the escape ship is similar as those used by Rebel pilots. It even includes a red logo reminiscent of the Rebel Alliance’s starbird crest.

Senator Rayencourt was mentioned in the sixth episode and seen now portrayed by David Harewood.

The dialogue of Senator Rayencourt reveals who is the chancellor of this era: Chancelor Drellik.

The figure observing Qimir and Osha leaving is a Muun. While the episode leaves it as this quick glimpse, it is meant to be Darth Plagueis, the Muun Sith Lord who trained Palpatine in Legends.

The duel between Sol and Qimir mimics at times the duel on Mustafar between Anakin and Obi-Wan (the close hallway section, lightsabers sparking against walls) from Revenge of the Sith, but also The Empire Strikes Back with Luke vs. Darth Vader on Cloud City (also the close quarters fighting and a suspended walkway).

In their fight Osha and Mae often show the same moves at the same times, like a true mirror to each other.

The duel of Sol and Qimir ends with a pose of the two freezing up before we see the reason why. We saw this also in Rebels 3×20 Twin Suns in the final duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Maul on Tatooine. This is also a typical Kurosawa shot.

While we saw Kyber crystals being removed or added to lightsabers before, this is really the first time in live-action that you see the Kyber within a lightsaber. This was clearly a design choice to later show the crystal bleeding to red. This was also a technique so far mostly mentioned or described in books, and not seen as clearly as it was now.

Qimir urging Osha to strike down Sol of course mirrors Palpatine urging Luke to do the same at the Death Star in Return of the Jedi.

The way to kill a Jedi without a weapon turns out to be the good old Force choke, made famous by Darth Vader in all the movies of the Original Trilogy. That is, his Force Choke in Return of the Jedi got cut (Jerjerrod was the intended victim), but we do see Luke doing it to a Gamorrean guard.

Venestra apparently has a history with Qimir, and while not much is revealed about it, at the end of the episode Vernestra mentions Qimir was her former pupil.

The core tunnel Osha and Mae use to get outside the fortress looks like the one where Luke ended up in after losing his hand to Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. Mae even says she got sucked in it, just like Luke was.

The chair in Venestra’s control room looks to be a smaller version of Palpatine’s throne.

Costume change for Vernestra. This is her High Senate robes, which she wears while addressing the various senators. Among them we see Rayencourt, the Abednedo senator Isedwa Chuwant (seen in the sixth episode as well) and many unknown Senators, including one with a new alien design. It also shows the earlier mentioned Chancellor Drellik, who is a Tarsunt. The Tarsunt were first seen in The Force Awakens, with Chancellor Lanever Villecham. Chancellor Drellik was performed by Tom Wilton.

Sol gets a typical Jedi funeral pyre from Venestra. The funeral pyre is not unlike the one from Return of the Jedi for Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader.

The cue of music during Osha and Qimir’s final scene is played by a violin. Amandla Stenberg plays the violin, could it be that she also played this cue for the episode?

Talking about music cues, while his theme was not played, we all recognized those green ears of Master Yoda.
